Working directly under the Director of Activities, the Activities Assistant will be responsible for scheduling activities as well as preparing the activity area for scheduled functions. This will include moving equipment and supplies, creating decorations and crafts, ordering and maintaining adequate levels of materials, interviewing residents or family members for activity information, and cleaning the area upon completion of activities. They will be responsible for observing and documenting resident attendance and participation in activities, ensuring all charted activity notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided. The ideal candidate needs to be able to escort residents to activity functions or transport residents using the company van. They will help develop and implement care plans and resident assessments as well as supervise and schedule volunteers. The job candidate will be expected to perform duties in a safe manner and comply with established policies and procedures as well as meet physical and mental demands.
